I wanted to ask you to pray for some very close friends of mine. Their names are Michael and Emily Craig. Michael recently started seminary school in Louisville, Kentucky, and shortly after that they found out they were pregnant with twins. Last Friday they went to the doctor for their 18 week sonogram and find out what they were having and the doctor discovered the twin girls are suffering from "Twin to Twin Transfer Syndrome." This is a condition where one twin takes all the nutrients from the other (so one twin is too big and one is too little). This is very dangerous for both girls. They saw a specialist Monday, and he is sending them to Cincinnati, OH today to see a doctor who specializes in this and a the laser surgery that can be done performed on the umbilical cord to stop the transfer between the two babies. The doctor told them this surgery will give the girls a 60% chance of survival. They will see the doctor at 7:30 am and proceed from there.
Please pray everything will go smoothly, and the doctors will be able to provide them with the best possible care.
